Truth and Accuracy Matter has discovered more information through a PRR that clearly proves the point that Mayor Dennington continues to sue the Town…
It is unbelievable that the Mayor consistently lies, denying her involvement in lawsuits against the Town of Melbourne Beach. She hides behind an LLC that she and her husband own. She has stopped using her personal name as she did in her previous lawsuits against the Town. In her continuation of Shedgate, she has now filed her most recent lawsuit under Funoe, LLC.
She stated at a Commission meeting that it was not HER that filed the lawsuit, it was Funoe, claiming disassociation. Yet, in the email written in February 2025, Al states that SHE is going to continue to sue the Town. The email itself was signed Al, Funoe from the following email address:

Please note: Al’s email was written in February of this year, when she referenced her most recent court filing, dated February 18, 2025. This lawsuit continues to revolve around a code violation for a shed that she illegally placed on one of her properties located in the “Golden Triagle” in 2020.
A little history for our new readers… This is a situation that Ms. Dennington refused to rectify by obtaining the required $79 permit and allowing necessary inspections. Something every Town resident has to do if they want to put up a shed.
She lost the initial code violation. She lost again with the Town Magistrate. Later, she took the case to a higher court where she lost a third time. The Town had to hire a special attorney to defend the case in that court.
Through the process, Dennington aligned with certain Town players that held a similar distain for Town governance. These few people on Nextdoor rallied behind her and helped her trick enough residents to fall for her ‘victim story’ and vote her in as Mayor in an off-year election.
In the attached email, Al Dennington admits to stopping at nothing to WIN, which was what motivated her to run for Mayor. Not to serve in the best interest of the Town, but to WIN.
She wants the Town to bend the rules for HER. She wants the Town to apologize to HER. She wants the Town to pay. And pay we are!
She has escalated the shed case, once again, by filing this new appeal after losing three times already. This time, it is with the 18th Judicial Court. This case, and other lawsuits against the Town filed by Dennington, have cost us as taxpayers over $160,000—and it will continue to climb!
In the email, she complains that she has spent $100,000 of her own personal funds in this endeavor. It really makes us scratch our heads and wonder why someone would go SO FAR to spend that amount of money…
