Judge Bookhardt grants second Protective Order on 4/9/2026

In our article on April 24, 2026, Slander vs. Libel, TruthandAccuracyMatter.org attached the motion that was granted by Judge Bookhardt III on April 1, 2026. The order was issued prior to the Plaintiff’s deposition of Melanie Griswold. Melanie Griswold is the former police chief for the Town of Melbourne Beach. The plaintiff is Funoe LLC, aka: Alison A. and Elvin L. Dennington. At the April 15th Regular Town Commission Meeting, Mayor Alison Dennington vehemently denied that a protection order was granted to former police chief Melanie Griswold in regards to the trial for Funoe LLC vs. Town of Melbourne Beach.

At the April 8th trial, Judge Bookhardt addressed the issue of the protective order with regard to keeping the line of questioning within the confines of this case. As a result, Griswold’s testimony was delayed.

On April 9, 2026 Judge Bookhardt granted a second Protective Order specifically related to Griswold’s testimony that was moved to May 20th in the continuation of the trial.

This was another lie from Dennington who continually tries to mislead town residents. See YouTube replay at minute 19:30
