Rebuttal to Rumors: More Nextdoor Nonsense
In recent weeks, our newly formed Political Action Committee (PAC), Truth and Accuracy Matter LLC, has come under attack from Kenneth Lebrato. His ongoing campaign of misinformation and hateful comments does nothing to help our Town. It is critical to address these issues head-on, as we believe that truth and accuracy are essential components of a thriving community.
Since launching just two weeks ago, Truth and Accuracy Matter established itself as a resource dedicated to providing factual information about local governance. In an age where social media platforms like Nextdoor often serve as breeding grounds for rumors and divisiveness, we recognized the urgent need for a local organization that focuses on verifiable data through official public records requests and insights from town officials. Our goal is simple: to inform residents so they can make educated decisions regarding our town's future.
After moving into our town just four years ago, Mr. Lebrato’s pattern of behavior reveals a troubling tendency toward personal attacks against those who dare to challenge his agenda.
His history includes accusatory comments directed toward the Town and our female Town Manager, whose professionalism and respect for her position prevented her from reacting. However, Mr. Lebrato’s public verbal abuse, disingenuously directed at a former female Town Commissioner, resulted in a cease-and-desist order filed against him due to his aggressive tactics and election interference toward her. Now, once again Kenneth L., as he is known on Nextdoor, is attacking a female resident for innocently misstating “Mutual Aid Agreement” instead of “Automatic Aid Agreement” when referring to the Fire Department discussion.
The fact is, as presented by Chief Brown, “ALL Fire Departments in Brevard County have signed a mutual aid agreement. Indialantic cancelled our AUTOMATIC AID Agreement, which means they won’t automatically come when there is a fire. MBVFD has to physically get to the scene and asses the situation, then request their help.” LINK TO PRESENTATION
In an effort to provide ALL the details about our current Fire Department situation, Truth and Accuracy Matter (aka “The Circle” O as dubbed by Kenneth L.) is sponsoring an ice cream social event in Ryckman Park on Saturday, July 19th from 1:00 - 4:00pm, called HOT TOPICS | COLD TREATS with guest speaker, Fire Chief Gavin Brown. Check your mailbox for your invitation to attend.
At Truth and Accuracy Matter, we stand firmly against any form of harassment or intimidation aimed at individuals simply doing their jobs or advocating for what they believe is right for the community. We will continue documenting facts through legitimate channels because we understand how vital accurate information is when addressing public concerns.
We invite all members of our community who seek truth over sensationalism to join us in promoting documented truth and accuracy rather than fear-mongering narratives spread by individuals like Mr. Lebrato and the small group of self-appointed spokespeople on Nextdoor.
