Next week, on November 4, we have an important job to do. We all need to vote! This is our collective opportunity to make a difference in this precious community we call home—our beloved Town of Melbourne Beach. This election isn't just about casting a vote; it's about embracing the responsibility of protecting our future!

Truth and Accuracy Matter has dedicated the last four months to provide our neighbors with facts about our town government. Prior to our inception, residents were relying on what they read on Nextdoor. At the encouragement of many neighbors, we decided, enough was enough! We formed a PAC and created this website. We are proud to share the information that we have posted in our articles… information that is verified through documentation, not baseless opinions found on Nextdoor. That is why our website has reached almost 5,000 readers. It goes beyond our town population, and clearly demonstrates the value of our information. Other towns are watching, but most importantly, the residents of the Town of Melbourne Beach are watching. Finally… we have a voice!

Needless to say, we’ve been attacked by the players on Nextdoor, a small group of very vocal people that have created a very negative and very dishonest image of us… the managing members of our Political Action Committee, Truth and Accuracy Matter, LLC. They do not like that we are playing in their sandbox and exposing the truth. We are going against their narrative so they are attacking from every angle to try to make us look bad. They say we have “MASSIVE FINANCES, and are obsessed with making more money by turning our town into a destination location.” Nothing could be further from the truth!

THIS is who we really are:

We work tirelessly at bringing this information to you because WE LOVE OUR TOWN and our current way of life. The Town of Melbourne Beach is our forever home. We have NO intention of doing the things they say we are! It’s all diversion from the TRUTH… don’t fall for their lies.

We stand strong in the light of truth... TRUTH always prevails against darkness. Their words that they use against us are ridiculous, blatant lies. They are keyboard warriors who shroud themselves in deception.

We are real people who care about our town. We work hard at our jobs all day, we keep our kids involved in sports, we belong to garden clubs, we are active in our churches and schools, we volunteer to deliver Meals on Wheels and check on neighbors who are elderly. We are the neighbors that help each other, that lift each other up and believe in building a more loving community. We recognize that people are the fabric that knit a neighborhood together.

We love every aspect of our town and what it offers. We are the parents and grandparents that take our families to the beach, we go boating and fishing on the river, and to the parks and playgrounds. We love going to Sunny Side Cafe and Oceanside Pizza with our kids. We enjoy going to Djon’s to watch the sunset over a cocktail with friends and neighbors.

We appreciate that we are primarily a residential community of neighbors. We have a small but vibrant “downtown” that serves the needs of our residents… the Melbourne Beach Market, a handful of restaurants that most residents love going to on a regular basis, a dog groomer, a veterinarian, a dentist, a drug store, a gas station… just about everything a person needs.

We are thankful for the continuation of our height restrictions that preserve our stunning views and protect the privacy of our homes. Our town ordinances keep our neighborhoods safe and serene from overdevelopment, and show a commitment to protecting our unique ecosystem here on the barrier island. From lush vegetation and mature trees to the Indian River Lagoon and our beautiful beaches—these treasures define us and deserve the unwavering commitment that we are willing to give.

We experience so much joy that local events bring—the Santa parade, Founders Day, Pineapple Man Triathalon, beach cleanups, summer concerts, and holiday celebrations that foster connections among neighbors and strengthen our town spirit. These moments of togetherness are why many of us chose this wonderful place as home.

We honor our dedicated fire department and professional police department that ensure our safety.

We commend our town staff for their professionalism and hard work. They keep things running smoothly with their experience and expertise. Each and every department is a glowing example of their tremendous contributions to our town. Perhaps most importantly is the fact that we have always had a financial audit free of corruption and misuse.

A happy and healthy community thrives when civility and collaboration are in the forefront. We need Town Commissioners who will lead with integrity within the framework of our Town Charter. No Lies. No Lawsuits. Just Service.

It’s our responsibility and privilege to elect the best candidates! Your vote counts… OUR TOWN NEEDS YOUR VOTE.

On November 4th, let your voice be heard and let your vote count! Vote with intention— vote for the two candidates who respect every member of this community, rather than seek division. Choose candidates who embody integrity and leadership; and are committed to fiscal responsibility while addressing the needs of all residents with compassion, understanding and vision for future needs.
