Mayor’s Settlement Offer

Thank you Commissioner Anna Butler for today’s email blast (see below) about tonight’s Regular Town Commission Meeting. The Mayor’s multiple lawsuits have been on our radar at Truth and Accuracy Matter and are an ongoing concern for MANY residents in our town ever since she filed them. As of 9-17-25, Town taxpayer costs for the lawsuits against the Town by the Mayor exceeds $163,000.00. To learn more about the Mayor’s lawsuits, CLICK HERE. We look forward to hearing the details of Mayor Dennington’s settlement offer tonight…

Good morning!

What a wonderful community event last night was! The weather finally allowed for the ceremonial push-in of the new Fire Truck! It was so heartwarming to see so many residents and their children participate in the festivities! Congratulations to Chief Brown and his amazing department! Vice Mayor Barlow and Commissioner Reed joined me in representing the Commission, and candidates Sherri Quarrie, Bruce Larson, and Terry Cronin joined in the fun as well.

Tonight is our Regular Town Commission Meeting at 6pm and we have several things on the agenda.  One item I would like to highlight is from our Town Attorney. Late last night the Commission received an email from Town Attorney, Ryan Knight informing us of an item he will bring before us at tonight's Regular Town Commission Meeting. The item for discussion on tonight's agenda is a settlement offer the Town has received from Funoe, LLC for the three outstanding matters currently in litigation. As you are aware, Funoe is the Mayor's LLC. We have not, as of yet, been provided with details of the offer, but the Commission will be required to make a decision as to what course of action to take.

As always, I encourage you to attend the meeting, and if you're unable to do so, please tune in from your homes.

Don't forget to vote on November 4th!

Thank you,

Anna
